Summary

Over the past hundred years, scholars have attacked the historical truth of the Gospels and argued that they were originally anonymous and filled with contradictions. In The Case for Jesus, Brant Pitre taps into the wells of Christian scripture, history, and tradition to ask and answer a number of different questions, including: If we don't know who wrote the Gospels, how can we trust them? How are the four Gospels different from other gospels, such as the lost gospel of "Q" and the Gospel of Thomas? How can the four Gospels be historically true when there are differences between them? How much faith should be put into these writings?

  • Being a seminarian, I was quite let down by the usual biblical analysis taught in most seminaries, which tends to lean towards a Protestant perspective. However, "The Case for Jesus: The Biblical and Historical Evidence for Christ" pleasantly surprised me by filling in numerous gaps and providing invaluable historical evidence to counter false biblical ideologies that erode the faith of believers. I highly recommend sharing this book with your friends as well. Moreover, the delivery of the content is excellent, making it an enjoyable and worthwhile read. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
  • As someone who has been a committed follower of Christianity for as long as I can remember, I found 'The Case for Jesus: The Biblical and Historical Evidence for Christ' to be a game-changer. This audiobook presented concrete evidence that supported beliefs I had previously taken solely on faith. I can't even begin to describe the deep emotions that washed over me while listening to it. In fact, I'm currently on my second round of listening, making sure to jot down notes as I am eager to share this newfound knowledge with my loved ones. I am immensely grateful to the author and everyone involved in bringing this invaluable work to life.
  • This audiobook presents a truly compelling argument in favor of the Christian faith. It's worth mentioning that reading the physical version might be a good idea as well. Personally, I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to it not once, but twice. In my opinion, it's one of the finest apologetics books I've come across.
