  • The narration in 'The People of Sparks: The Second Book of Ember' is top-notch. The performance is outstanding and the story is captivating from start to finish, just like in the first book, 'City of Ember'. I had watched 'City of Ember' a while back and really enjoyed it, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a second book in the series when I started listening to audiobooks. Overall, I had a great time listening to 'The People of Sparks'. The narrator, whose name I unfortunately can't recall, did an amazing job. Her voice is pleasing to the ears and her ability to change her voice for different characters was superb. When I listen to audiobooks, I like to fully immerse myself in the story and imagine it playing out in my mind, and this audiobook allowed me to do just that. It was truly excellent in every way.
  • I really enjoyed City of Ember, so I thought I'd give the sequel a listen. The storyline was absolutely fantastic, but unfortunately, the narrator did not live up to my expectations. It felt like she was speaking from a distance, despite my high-quality headphones. Additionally, there was some static noise and her voice was not pleasant to listen to.
