I'm really digging the unique perspective offered by 'These Is My Words: The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine, 1881-1901'. It's like stepping into a different era and living a completely different life. Sarah's character is so badass, extraordinary and truly motivating - I couldn't help but fall in love with her fiery spirit. Plus, it was a blast recognizing all the familiar landmarks of Tucson in the story. The icing on the cake was the fantastic narration by Amy Rubinate, which elevated the whole experience to another level.
It's not often that I award a book with a perfect five-star rating, but let me tell you, this one definitely deserves it. The writing is exceptional, truly top-notch. There's something incredibly unique and captivating about it. I was completely engrossed from start to finish, finding it nearly impossible to tear myself away.
I loved this book! I would have never picked this book up in a million years, however the book club picked it for me.....AND I am so glad they did, this is a great story. It is a must read! Also a great book club discussion book, we talked for ever on this one.
Amazing book! Travel through the life experiences of a young girl as she grows into a young woman. Share the tragedies and joyful moments of her life. This book kept my complete attention from the first words, to the very end. I cried, I smiled and I was sad when it was over. The narrator captured Miss Sarah Prine perfectly! I loved listening to this book. I highly recommend it!
