  • This book is incredible, the writing is superb, and the performance is captivating. Hannah definitely delivers. The topics covered, such as childhood neglect and mental health struggles, are not easy to digest, but they are filled with optimism.
  • I gotta say, this book is solid and it definitely taught me a few things. However, I can't help but think that the editing could've been tightened up a bit. It's like they wanted the story to flow smoothly, but instead, there were all these jumps in time that made it a bit tricky to keep up with.
  • During my time in college, one of the highlights was bonding with my roommate over watching My Drunk Kitchen. When she released 'Buffering: Unshared Tales of a Life Fully Loaded', I had every intention of reading it, but it ended up sitting on my To Be Read shelf alongside some rather embarrassing books. However, I'm actually grateful that it stayed there for a while. The experience of listening to the audiobook provided a certain level of connection that I didn't anticipate from simply reading it. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Hannah for opening up and sharing her story with us. It's difficult to put into words how much laughter and tears this book has evoked in me.
  • I really enjoyed it and I can totally feel a connection to her early years. It's such a heartbreaking and impactful experience to listen to. I went through a similar situation with my dad who suffered from schizophrenia and tragically took his own life. I'm incredibly grateful that you were able to get help for your mother, as we had tried desperately to get help for my dad, but the system was frustratingly flawed.
  • I didn't know about Hannah Hart before, but after seeing the positive reviews and listening to a snippet for 5 minutes, I decided to give it a go. And let me tell you, it totally had me hooked. Overall, I found it really good, especially because it delved into important topics like mental health and the struggles of living with mental health issues in America.
  • Hey Hannah, I gotta say, you've got some serious guts for putting yourself out there like this. Major props, especially for being as openly and proudly gay as you are. Thanks for having the courage to be yourself! After reading Buffering, it's crystal clear that Hannah Hart is a true testament to the power of attitude. She takes us on a journey into her past, giving us a glimpse into a challenging childhood. Now, you might think that a topic like this would make for a dark and somber read, but let me tell you, after finishing Buffering, I felt a renewed sense of hope for humanity. Hannah masterfully portrays the struggles that come with having a family member who suffers from mental illness. She doesn't sugarcoat the truth and takes a critical look at our country's mental health policies. With her intimate revelations about her family, past relationships, and close friendships, you can't help but feel like you've truly gotten to know her by the end. Hannah also shines a spotlight on the flaws and stigma surrounding mental health in our society. Thankfully, she was able to help her mother, but unfortunately, my own aunt wasn't as fortunate. I sincerely hope that this book accomplishes what I believe Hannah intends it to do: inspire us to share our stories so that we can save our loved ones. Thank you, Hannah.
  • Hannah, I can't even begin to express how I'm feeling after finishing this book. I feel honored that you chose to share your story with all of us. I'm so proud of the strong, honest woman you've become before our eyes. It's incredible to see how much you believe in your online community and how much you've given of yourself to us. I've always admired your fearless optimism and your "no judging" philosophy. But what really stands out to me is that you've always been open about these values being reminders to yourself. You've never tried to hide your imperfections and have always strived to be relatable and human. I genuinely love you for that. This book shed a new light on all of this and made it even more profound. This book evoked so many emotions in me, and I can't find the right words to describe it all. But my heart is overflowing with pride, joy, sorrow, and an abundance of love for you. If I had the chance, I would give you a big hug. So, consider yourself virtually hugged. Sending you so much love, Mandy (a devoted fan for a long time) P.S. Take care of yourself. You're doing an amazing job.
  • I was blown away by Ms. Hart's honesty, enthusiasm, narration, and (no pun intended) genuine emotions. Buffering is touching, profoundly impactful, and I truly think it's a crucial read for individuals who may not entirely grasp the challenges of the system we are immersed in. Definitely get your hands on this book.
