  • Once I started listening to the beginning of this audiobook, I was really bummed out by the storyline. It revolved around a 39-year-old woman who seemed to be taken advantage of by her philandering husband, and later getting entangled with an alcoholic man and his deeply troubled daughter. Despite feeling down, I couldn't tear myself away from it. The narrative contained an important message, although the conclusion could have been more satisfying. Undoubtedly, the standout element of this audiobook was the exceptional performance by the narrator, who truly brought the story to life. I'm uncertain if I would invest in another book by the same author after experiencing this one.
  • I absolutely adored 'On Mystic Lake' and everything it had to offer! This book truly touched my soul. The narrator did an exceptional job of conveying a multitude of emotions through her captivating voice.
  • This book felt like a cheap romance novel. I would recommend avoiding it as it is disrespectful towards women. Trust me, we are much smarter than this. It's infuriating and sickening. 😡🤮
  • I'm not sure if it's just me, but there were moments in the book that really tugged at my heartstrings. It did have a few instances of repeating information, but overall, it was an enjoyable audiobook.
  • I'm a huge fan of Kristen Hannah, but I have to say, this particular book left me feeling a bit let down. It came across as overly cliché, with a storyline that was too easy to see coming and emotions that felt overly sentimental.
